blue badge holder parking fine appeal help!!

Options
Hi,

Please can anyone kindly help me make an appeal on behalf of my disabled father.

He is a blue badge holder and parked in a loading bay. The loading bay where he parked had no road markings indicating that it was an actual loading bay and the sign on the lamp post was two shops away from where his car was parked.

I have tried to make an appeal on his behalf but have been told that it is not a legal requirement from the department of transport to have every single bay road marked.

I feel that this is really unfair! We are supposed to be looking after the elderly, vulnerable and disabled people within our society but it seems the council and government are making it far more hard to care for such people.

Had the road have been clearly marked then i believe this error would not have been made.

Please help me fight for my father and the disabled people in our society x

You were asked questions on the other thread you started!

    Who issued the ticket?

    Where were you parked?

What contravention code did they use?

If it is a council ticket post it up on Pepipoo http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30

If its a private ticket just ignore it!

it is PCN code 25, car was parked on a loading bay. Right behind the parking bay was a disabled bay and there was a car parked in between the disabled bay and loading bay so you could not see the separate bays. the disabled bay also had a road marking indicating disabled bay, therefore it was assumed the loading bay was also disabled parking as it had no road marking.

Pepipoo is your best bet then!

Post up the PCN if you can also a picture of the signs and the area or the google map reference so people can see if there is any way out.
However in the meantime make an informal appeal explaining what happened and explain the unclear signs and road markings. Most councils have a one strike clause and may allow an informal appeal. If not make it formal with the help of Pepipoo.

    the council issued the ticket.
I have posted it on the pepipoo forum but no progress.
I have already appealed the ticket but this was rejected. There letter stated that under the regulation of the department of transport it is not compulsory for very bay to have road markings as long as there is a sign.

So you did bump your pepipoo thread again then with pictures of the rejection letter and the Notice to Owner? If not then that is your next step, keep your pepipoo thread updated with new info and questions every time you need more advice. No-one on pepipoo is going to read your thread and reply when it's not on page 1 on pepipoo so (within reason) reply on it and ask for advice, show more pics.

Post a draft of what you are thinking of saying as your formal appeal, and ask pepipoo for comments on it.
