Highview see reasonable time as no more than 1 minute!

Letter from Highview today:

Parked at 19:05:49 and left at 19:08:34. (whats that around 2.5mins)

Parked again same day between 22:28 and 22:29.

In both instances I overstayed the parking limit. So it looks like they are now enforcing 1min maximum parking times.

lol!

Except, I trust, they are not ENFORCING it? I take it the two fingers will be going up to their asinine request?

    Please re-assure us of that...

Yup. Its not being enforced since its the 2nd time ive done it and they are being generous - so that's great for me.

Obviously if they feel they want to send me an invoice for the privilege of pulling into a drop off / pick up bay for a couple of minutes then ill make a paper airplane with it for my boys. They love paper airplanes.

I can see why people get worried though, but really - sending a letter because i parked for a total of 3.5mins in a drop of bay!

That is because this goes to the heart of the private parking company business model which is about generating cash not upholding or enforcing any form of law whether statute or Common Law.

As you've so correctly identified already, ignore them. Besides, what exactly is it that you are supposed to do in a drop-off/pick-up bay?
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Its pathetic really, are you supposed to pay to wait ? As a former taxi driver I never got an invoice, but this is exactly where you'd pick up passengers from, are you expected to pay to pick up passengers now ? As you know you should ignore the scammers!
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
  • I've received the same letter. Was parked for 3 minutes and 5 minutes less than 3 hours apart. Asked Tesco for apology but they just told me it was nothing to do with them. So I have complained to the DVLA about releasing my data without reasonable cause.

It has everything to do with Tesco. If they employ a car park cowboy then they are responsible for their actions.

Do not waste your time with DVLA they are part of the scam, taking their £2.50 cut from every ticket.

Just make sure the parasite wastes that £2.50, plus the postage to send you the toilet paper.

And tell Tesco that every little helps in deciding you will be shopping elsewhere in future as they have crooks in the car park.

Or, keep the documentation (sorry, kids!) and sue both the PPC and Tesco for harassment. Then it'll definitely be something to do with them.

As they're supplying info' that isn't really of any use to the PPC, you could say that the DVLA are scamming the scammers.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)
  • You could ask Tesco to confirm whether or not they employ the PPC to operate on their land. If they say no then they've just stuffed their mates in (and themselves by lying I guess), if they say yes, then you can ask how they can employ them but not take responsibility for their actions.
