There was an article about people being clamped on private land in tonight's Gazette. The article is HERE. As I was reading it, I could not help but leave a comment.

NCP and my mistake
I parked in a railway station car park (run by NCP) on a bank holiday. As it was a bank holiday I didn't think I had to pay and the cars either side of me did not have tickets so I stupidly didn't look at the ticket machines (they do have a ticket box where a person usually sits but that was unoccupied). I returned to my…

Welcome letter from my local MP
I recently wrote a lengthy letter to my local MP raising my objections to Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Bill currently in the report stage of Parliamentary debate. I raised my concerns that the Bill essentially makes it legal for PPC's to pursue the registered keeper for parking charges arising out of an alleged…

Private Parking Ticket - Court Proceedings issued, can I get help with my defence?
My vehicle was left unattended for about 3 minutes in a (derelict) pub car park (next to public recycling bins). When the vehicle returned to my house I found a 'private' PCN for £75 had been stuck on the windscreen. I have used those public recycling bins frequently and never seen any parking restrictions. I came online…

An Excellent Blog Regarding Private Parking
I have just found this "Brighton Boys" blog which give excellent advice about the murky world of the private parking industry, especially Roxbourgh and Micheal Sobell. I think this should be incorporated in the stikies above:- http://abrightonboyblogs.co.uk/2011/08/graham-white-solicitors-parking-companies-and-the-law/

Hi, I'm new to this forum and am looking for some advice. I visited a retail park today and had to park just over the white line due to a large van being parked next to me. When I returned to my car I found I had been issued with a ticket for "not parking correctly within the markings of the bay or space". Is this legal?…

Euro Car Parks
Anyone know if this lot have ever actually taken anybody to court? I got a "ticket" last November and have ignored all the letters that have followed, but the last one said, in big letters DO NOT IGNORE - THIS WILL NOT GO AWAY. Now I know it's all just bluster and threats, but I just wondered if they have ever followed…

Warning - new legislation on parking charge notices
The "Protection to Freedom Bill (this title is the biggest irony when you read the rest of this post) is currently going through Parliament (at the report stage) and if made law would in effect prevent the "ignore" action as it would make the keeper of the vehicle liable for any parking charge notice (you have to ask why…
