Good evening
I am new to the website and stumbled across different posts so not sure if I am on the correct thread but here goes. I have recived a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) for a contravention code 82 parking after an expiry of a paid time. The penalty charge looks like a genuine council ticket with the council logo and where to pay (at local council offices and another address) My question is how do you know if this is a council owned car park or not? I personally think it is however the thing that is throwing me is the appeals email addres....may be APCOA (see below)

Note: I have since managed to get my hands on a valid ticket for this time which I have scanned and sent to email appeals at admin @ southtyneside.apcoa.com do you think this will this be ok.
THank you for any help

Welcome, not the right thread but it will be on its own thread if it gets moved anyway so I will answer.

Sounds like that's a real PCN (easy to know, it's real if it says 'penalty charge notice' at the top and has a Council logo). APCOA sometimes act for Councils, as do a few other PPCS. Appeal it with pepipoo forum help. Register and start a new topic here:

Oh, and when posting on pepipoo DO DOT say that the P&D ticket you now have got your hands on isn't yours! They won't help if they think posters are dishonest...

    HTH
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
