It was at Clearwater FL, incidentally the same day i saw three guys get arrested for throwing sand on the beach - talk about pathetic laws.

Pay and Display machines would not take coin
Hello, I was issued with a penalty charge notice from Newark and Sherwood DC last week. I have used this car park over 100 times in 2008 and regularly park there to get the train. Last Wednesday morning the pay and display machine would not take my £2 (the machine states that it does take these coins). This is only the…

Parkforce ticket
Hi all, I recently got a parking charge notice whilst parked in a local hospital carpark. I have appealed the notice and enclosed a letter from the ward sister explaining my daughter was seriously ill in hospital for a long period of time and I needed to be by her bedside at the time the ticket was issued. I had previously…

Points for speeding or voluntary ban?
A few months ago a client told us he had been advised by his solicitor that there is a little known law that allows drivers caught speeding, to elect to accept a voluntary ban and not have points applied to his licence. The fine stays as is. Does anyone know of such a law?

Hi all, I'm not sure if this is the appropriate board on which to post this question but I got a parking fine outside my work yesterday which read 'Parked without clearly displaying a valid Pay and Display Ticket/ Voucher.' Immediatly, I didn't contend with the actual Officer and just asked if I could appeal the issued ticket, which she explained very nicely. Thankfully, I did a bit of…

What do you think of this situation?
Please read and evaluate and give me some advice. Appreciate all responses. Really not in a financial situation in which I can pay this fine: I was given a civil parking fine last month. Many times I have parked in the same place and done that same thing. For years you have had to pay for parking in the street between 8am…
