The Stephen Thomas case was badly defended, because the defendant posted on a forum that he hadn't been driving, then tried to deny it in court. He also claimed that the signage wasn't clear, but it was. These factors caused the judge to find against him.
Perky came on here a while ago, pretending to be the defendant, but the mods soon deleted his posts.
The other case was in Scotland, where another defendant had racked up over 30 tickets in one location, and the court decided he was taking the p**s.
There will obviously be the odd occasion when a PPC wins one of these cases, but an internet search will throw up many more that they have lost, and of course many thousands more tickets issued that remained unpaid, and the PPC never instigated court action.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
I hear the "eagles" from CAG/Pepipoo were involved only for the first part of the Stephen Thomas case. Which Perky lost. Explains how he manged to win the second part but it sounds like the defendant did not do himself any favours with his shifting stories. Anyway the case is totally irrelevant, as a County Court decision cannot set a precedent, and even more so given its very peculiar facts. As for Perky pretending to be the defendant on here, that was a very sad display. Definitely some counselling required there.0

The whole controlled parking industry is a scam and needs wiping out. Clamping should be illegal like it is in Scotland also0

Perky would say that wouldn't he. He knows people will search it out on the net and his "blog" could convince some people to pay up.
Vast majority of his cases are kicked out or Perky does not even turn up."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."
"I could play all day in my Green Cathedral".
"The Centuries that divide me shall be undone."
"A dream? Really, Doctor. You'll be consulting the entrails of a sheep next. "0 -
That of course is within the absolutely miniscule amount of cases he takes further than the threatening letters.Spartacus_Mills wrote: »

Or Perky goes along to the court pretending to be the defendant. But a legally qualified person (Doctor of Trolling Law, Made Up Online University) would never do such a thing as pretending to the the other side? Perky does have a purpose after all: we all need someone to have a good laugh at now and then. And boy does the buffoon oblige.0
