Weekly Flylady Thread 18th November 2019
What is FLYLADY? Well, it's our version of the US flylady idea - but we work on the principle that housework is not fun, it's boring, can be time-consuming, is often thankless but, unfortunately, necessary. It's here on Old Style to provide the support we all need and to make the whole task easier and quicker. We also…

Mops question
Can anyone recommend a good mop for bathroom/kitchen floors please? Lots of nooks and crannies due to the useless design of the house so a steam mop doesn't work well. Whatever I've tried mine seem to go mouldy in less than a week

The impracticability of crystal glassware
I'm trying to declutter as with increasing age, I need to make my life simpler. That includes only having glassware and china that can be safely used in a dishwasher. Chocolate Refrigerator Cake?
Many years ago I had a recipe for a chocolate refrigerator cake - and I'm positive it was a Jewish recipe. I think it had pieces of biscuit and some maybe dried fruit and pieces of peel in it. It was made in a loaf tin. I've lost the recipe and now I would like to make it again. There are many recipes on the internet but…

Vegetarian meal idea
Trying to eat less meat and when I do eat meat it will be organic which is very expensive so most meals will be vegetarian. I'm looking for some inspiration for vegetarian meals that are fairly cheap, quick and easy to make but are filling. Good hearty meals for the winter. thanks
