Long life milk 1 month past bb

Hi all
I have 6 cartons of long life milk that are best before 5 weeks ago. I know that bb isn't the same as use by, but I feel like it's possibly be more cautious with milk.
Is there anything I can use them for or is it best to chuck them?
Thanks!

First of all, smell the carton when you open it! It shouldn't be a problem, but I wouldn't keep them in stock much longer.

One month shouldn't be an issue. Just use them up before you buy any more. BBE dates are "Best Before" not "it will become inedible overnight". Sniff each package when you open it; if it smells "off" then use it for scones, pancakes or other baking that requires sour milk.
Long life milk is packaged in a sterile environment and treated to kill most bacteria, making it shelf stable for 6-9 months. (I'm quoting Wikipedia.) It will eventually deteriorate in quality so, as with all milk, apply the sniff test and look at it in a glass before you pour it over your breakfast cereal. If it has obviously separated, then bin it.

Scones too are a great use for slightly "over" milk. You could even freeze what you don't use clearly labelled for future batches too.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
