Can anyone recommend a good mop for bathroom/kitchen floors please? Lots of nooks and crannies due to the useless design of the house so a steam mop doesn't work well. Whatever I've tried mine seem to go mouldy in less than a week

Do you turn them heads up to dry them? They shouldn't be going mouldy. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Yes although they don't balance well that way and are always falling over. We have a real problem with mould in the bathroom in this house -the ceiling is black in places, as are the walls. The landlord isn't interested in doing anything about it.Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

Mould is usually caused by too much water, not enough heat and not enough air circulation
Do you dry clothes indoors? do you have the house warm enough and do you have a good air flow through the house or at least use the extractors in the kitchen and bathroom when cooking and bathing/showering?
as for the mop, I use one of those ones that spin in their mop buckets. They dry out nicely. I also keep them outside0 -

I've got an Easy Mop, it makes light work of the mopping (a chore I dislike intensely because of the planning required around it) and couldn't be simpler to maintain. I bought it on the recommendation of a cleaner, and have not been disappointed.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I use a tumble dryer that is in the kitchen to dry clothes. The house isn't very warm as the roof isn't insulated at all(I've been asking the landlord for 3 years to do something about it), and I can't afford to have the heating on high. I do have a dehumidifier upstairs that is on 24/7 (it switches off automatically and then starts again when needed).
There are no extractors in the kitchen or bathroom. Air flow is not good due to the positioning of the windows/doors etc. I have no kitchen window, just a door, and it's too cold to keep it open.Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

Which is the one that you have? Those are all American mops and I wasn't able to find them on amazon-maybe they have different names? I typed in Easy Mop and got a bunch of different ones.Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

I have recently bought a Vileda Turbo Smart mop and think it is really good. I found the "squeezy" mops left a lot of smears as I could never squeeze them dry enough, and also that I was forever replacing the heads as they would wear out etc. The Vileda is a bit pricy as you get the turbo bucket thing with it but it works for me as I can use it quite wet to clean everywhere, then wring it very dry to go over it again. Plus it is a rounded triangular head 9f you understand my meaning) so gets into the corners better than a square head. I also take the mop bit off to wash and dry so storage is easier.0

Eta: my floor never gets dirty-dirty as I have a shoes-off policy, and any spillages get dealt with asap. Therefore using it with a little water works well in my home but if I had a cat or dog I'd be using a Flash-like product.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
