Leftover Christmas Chutneys
Hi, I have lurked on MSE for a good few years but this is my first post so apologies if it is in the wrong place! Does anyone have any ideas on how to use up Christmas chutneys? We don't eat cheese or cold meats as the norm and I seem to have a few jars of chutneys just waiting to go off. Just wondered if any of the…

Derek's story
"The most terrible poverty is loneliness and the feeling of being unloved." Mother Teresa. We go through life being so busy, I'd hate to get to a time when I have no one to talk to, not know how to fill my days. The article has made me think about giving some time to Age UK.

TripAdvisor
I'm an avid user of - and reviewer for - TripAdvisor, particularly as I travel a fair bit on business. I've just noticed I have collected lots of points, not got a clue what to do with them or even if there is any value to them. Has anyone OSer actually benefited from a TripAdvisor points?

Self-catering meal plan ideas?
Hi, I'm going to book Butlins for late Spring/early Summer time and and trying to decide whether to pay for foodplan or do self catering. I've done both in the past, and am definitely leaning towards self-catering! The main thing I learned from the slightly hasty self-catering in the past was that I'd need to plan ahead!…

Shortage of lettuces - alternative salads
Hello all! I keep seeing posts and news about the Great Lettuce Shortage and thought, why not start an alternative, UK based, self help thread for those salad lovers who are not sure what to do?
