Hello old stylers! My DH has a new job this week, and its hours are incredibly good compared to the last one, and we will only be apart two or three nights a week. However, there is no subsidised canteen or out of hours meal provision and facilities aren't great. At work there is not even a fridge for milk for tea/ coffee…

Pen Refills
This is a request on the behalf of my boss. He was given a pen while on a business trip, which he likes to use. The pen is well made, but the ink refill isn't very good. Is there anywhere you can buy these refills? All I can find are the fancy ones like Parker. This is just one of those cheap looking ones, about 95mm long,…

Do any of you lovelies have a tried & tested recipe for a diabetic-friendly cake please ? Whilst I realise that cake, being pretty much carbs (& fat) is not exactly the foodstuff of choice for a diabetic, I'd like to be able to offer a visiting friend a possible choice I can obviously google loads of recipes, but I'd…

What's wrong with my steam cleaner?
I have the Morphy Richards 9 in 1, had it about six months. It's not working properly, steam only comes out of it for so long and then it stops and just makes a noise. I find it such hard work. I loved it when I first got it but now I find it tiring trying to get it to work and putting on the attachments and trying to drag…

Pest Control (mice)
I have a suspicion that I may have mice. I haven't seen any but have heard noises coming from behind a skirting board; so I called in pest control. He had a look around and said he found mouse droppings in an airing cupboard. I hadn't noticed them myself, and I just wondered if anyone has ever heard of pest controllers…
