choice of cling films and aluminium foil for safer cooking?
Just wondering if anyone knows if there's any difference in different ranges of cling films and aluminium foil in supermarket? The price difference between cheapest and most expansive one are huge, and I wonder if the cheapest one is unsafe for cooking, i.e high temperature? thanks.

I've got a lot of first and second class stamps to use up and sometimes I send parcels. Does anyone know of an app or website that will tell me how of each to use to make up an exact amount for parcel postage? Would be really handy! Thanks.

Bread maker pan stuck in machine
Just wondered if anyone has any ideas. I've just made a loaf of bread in my Panasonic bread maker. When the cycle ended, I went to get the 'bucket' out of the machine as normal, to turn the loaf out, and found that the bucket is jammed solid into the machine - it won't move at all :( Just wondered if anyone else had ever…

when buying a loaf of breead, where do you actually keep it?
I am asking all where do you keep your bread when purchased? I keep my bread in the fridge, but according to a BBC2 programme this is the wrong place to keep it, as it increases the time bread takes to go off. I think the cold tempreture breaks down the yeast. 9% of people store there bread in the fridge, where do you keep…

How to clean wooden floor (stained finish) ??
Not sure how to clean the wooden floor in my new house. It's not a shiny finish, it seems like it is stained wood, and seems to show marks :/ The products I've seen seem to say they leave a lovely shiny finish ... But mine is matt. All I know is there's a mark where some oven cleaner accidentally got wiped on it and took…

When did this change?
The question has arisen as to at what point things changed from: - It was deemed to be good manners/considerate/etc for a guest to eat whatever food/drink was put in front of them even if it would make them ill/they hated it etc etc TO - It is now deemed to be good manners/considerate/etc for the host to ensure that their…

What things do you make from scratch, to be more wholesome for you and your family?
I've had a bit of a light bulb moment over the last few days, and am appalled by what I have found out to be in my food and the amount of waste i throw out, both food and packaging. I hate the fact I'm giving my money to Mr T£esco, and mindlessly buying and eating things. I have 2 young children and want them to taste good…

What else can I make in a soup maker ?
I have a soup maker, which I love and I make two to three different soups every week, which saves lots of money. But I keep thinking, can I do stewed fruit in in ? The idea is the same as the soup, it boils up the fruit, and the I can blend is as I wish - I haven't tried it yet, has any one else made other things in their…

Instant Pot
Hi guys, Not sure if this is the right board for this, but have you come across the Instant Pot? It's a combined pressure cooker, slow cooker, steamer, rice cooker, everything.
