How to clean wooden floor (stained finish) ??

Not sure how to clean the wooden floor in my new house. It's not a shiny finish, it seems like it is stained wood, and seems to show marks

The products I've seen seem to say they leave a lovely shiny finish ... But mine is matt.

All I know is there's a mark where some oven cleaner accidentally got wiped on it and took the stain off (oops!).

Suggestions/advice gratefully received!

Method make a wood floor cleaner that is fantastic on all types of wood floor. I used to buy it in Homebase, its about a fiver a bottle but its all natural and a little goes a really long way and it has a lovely almondy smell.

Just what I was going to suggest.
