Diced beef suggestions
I have some diced beef in the freezer, which I bought a few weeks ago with the intention of making a stew. I didn't realise it would get so hot so now stew is off the menu, but I want to use up the beef to help me keep to my grocery challenge budget. Any lighter suggestions? I have a fair stock cupboard and my DH doesn't…

Spin dryers - anyone got one?
Given the great weather I have been handwashing many things, but do struggle to wring things out, I am wondering if anyone uses a spin dryer. Thinking things through if I can hand wash now there is nothing stopping me doing this all the time, especially for my work blouses, jumpers trousers etc, really good quality things…

Do bread machines become faulty?
I have a panasonic bread machine and it's been producing great loaves with all types of flour, ie Tesco, Morrisons etc. However my last few loaves have been a disaster, just flat. My yeast is in date, my measurements are spot on and I don't know what's wrong? Although it seems to be working, could part of the process be…

Scorched jeans given new lease of life
Hi all, First post so please be nice :) While on holiday recently I was attempting to quickly dry some jeans with an iron (long story....). Lack of concentration and unfamiliarity with an extremely old non-steam iron meant I scorched the (blue) jeans very visibly. They were relatively new 501's (first time I'd ever bought…

Colour Run Problems
Hi All, Apologies if this is in the wrong section, seemed the closest fit. Had some reds run in a wash, and missed out two white shirts that sneaked in, which are now pink. There's also a slight pink shade to some of the other items in the wash. Now, I know the white shirts can be fixed easily enough by just bleaching them…

The half a pig is going to cost £80 & the lamb £90 just wondering if anyone else buys their meat this way and if so do you think its good value for money and how many joints roughly will we get from them? Sorry for all the questions but I'm really torn…

Coconut milk
I have just made some rice using 100ml of coconut milk from the morrisons magazine and now have 300mls of a can left. I usually throw the remaining milk away when a recipe calls for it, but as im trying to be more resourceful i thought I'd ask you lovely people for any ideas as to what to do with it?
