Colour Run Problems

Hi All,
Apologies if this is in the wrong section, seemed the closest fit.
Had some reds run in a wash, and missed out two white shirts that sneaked in, which are now pink. There's also a slight pink shade to some of the other items in the wash.
Now, I know the white shirts can be fixed easily enough by just bleaching them completely clear again, but I've not been able to find any advice on how to clean run dyes from multicoloured garments without affecting the original dyes. Can this be done? I've read that you shouldn't let the clothes dry, as this makes the run colour permanent, so I've got the affected items in some cold water for the moment. If this is equally stupid, let me know. I line dry everything, so I don't know if it's just tumble drying that fixes run dye.
I've read you can use white vinegar to remove dye, but I've also read this doesn't work. I happen to have some in, so does this work? Would save me going out and getting some bits to do the job.
Cheers,
JsB

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. for something like that i'd probably use a proprietary product but I'd get it from Home Bargains or somewhere to keep down the cost.
There's another thread here dealing with the same problem - note the date so any prices mentioned may be out!

I've had some success with Dr Beckmanns colour run remover.http://www.dr-beckmann.co.uk/products/colour-protection/coloursafe-colour-run-remover/ but it all depends on the type of fabric and how much run there is! £1.60 for 2 sachets at Wilkinsons. HTH0
