Quick Slow Cooker Question?
Do you think this recipe would be OK in a slow cooker? http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/recipes/369538/Gary-Rhodes--chicken-and-chorizo-stew I know it only takes half an hour but I'd like to do it in the morning and come in to it, ready cooked, in the evening. Would the chicken go really tough? Or would it all turn to mush?

Shall I use this bacon?
I opened a pack of cooking bacon to make a quiche with on Thursday. Says on the pack 'once open use within 2 days' but it's still got 4 days left on its use by date. It's been in the fridge wrapped in a food bag the whole time. Think it'll be OK to use this evening? I will be feeding it to 4 kids BTW, not just myself ;)
