Flavouring chicken
Hi Been buying some trays of chicken pieces flavoured with lime, corriander and chilli and some tomatoe and onion flavoured. I had realised they were a little pricey at £2 for a small tray but I had a light bulb moment that I was only paying £4 for a large chicken that did the family 3-4 meals! Does anyone know of any…

How can I clean patent leather?
I've resurrected some nude patent leather shoes from the depths of my wardrobe, only to discover a couple of scuff marks on them. How can I clean them? They are proper patent leather BTW, not the synthetic material that usually wipes clean, so I don't want to try anything too harsh on them! Thanks, Floss

Dropped electric kettle in bowl of water - Help please.
I have just had a total dopey moment and after descaling my electric kettle with vinegar - I was swilling the bits of limescale out and dropped the whole kettle in a basin of water. I quickly took it out, emptied it, shook it dry outside and it is currently basquing in the sunshine. My question is: How long will it take to…

Reparing a cheap handbag
Okay - I know some cheap things are false economy, but I've been after a satchel style bag as my summer handbag for a while, and saw the perfect one in Primark for £9, so I snapped it up. Been using it for about a month, and it's great, fits everything I need (including my commuting paperback, my lunch, and my umbrella).…

I am addicted to Boots Mexican bean wraps and as I am trying to cut back on costs I was wondering if anyone else loves these wraps and has found a good recipe to recreate them at home? I am struggling to find a recipe that tastes anywhere near the same.

What kind of cake is this?
When I was a child at school I remember having pink coconut cake. It was spongy, sticky, and sprinkled with coconut; it came out as a tray bake cut into squares. I think it may have used raspberry jam. Any idea what it was please? I've suddenly remembered it, so have to bake it!
