Kenwood Chef ideas
I am very lucky as I am being given my mum's old Kenwood Chef (very lucky since I've found out how much they are even second hand!) and was wondering what people find them good for? I am planning to make bread in it initially, but am open to suggestions - she wants if back if I don't use it!

Uses for marshmallows?
I needed marshmallows for some rocky road for work and bought a huuuge tub of them for £1.49 from B&M. The catch being they are fairly short dated so I need to use the rest of them up! I don't have any rice crispies to make cakes (loads of weetabix though:D) and there's far too many for me to drink that much hot chocolate.…

Cheap but good meal ideas with a slow cooker
Hi I'm hoping someone will have some great, cheap and healthy meal ideas that can be done in a slow cooker (preferably). I'm a busy mum of 3, expecting #4 and am currently incapacitated due to SPD (causes loosening of the pelvic joint, and I'm on crutches to be able to walk) so standing in the kitchen slaving over the oven…

Sliced porridge?
Working on the assumption that what I was told is actually true :) , then apparently years ago people used to make porridge, leave it to go cold and slice it to eat later. Our family is having to change our eating habits because of health reasons and although we're fine with sorting out healthy main meals etc, I find I'm…

Kitchen unit handles
I've inherited from the previous owner of our house a 70s kitchen. I've just given it a good scrubbing and just noticed how grubby the handles of the units are. I am not sure how to give aluminium its former glory back ? The cleaning products I am using don't seem to make much difference. Thank you in advance

Quiche in the microwave?
I borrowed a microwave cookbook (since I now have no oven), and there's a quiche recipe in there. I didn't know you could do pastry in a standard microwave, and am a little dubious. Didn't want to waste ingredients on something untested, so has anyone actually tried this? Any other interesting microwave recipes gratefully…
