Hello, im posting this to try and get some help/inspiration of how i can get thru until payday (monday) with no money....
i had done a meal plan but we had guests round at the weekend and that kinda mucked it all up
i need to create dinners for 2 adults and 2 children, aged 3 and 1 (and hopefully lunches at the weekend) out of what ive got in the cupboards/ freezer as the fridge is completly empty
ive got:
freezer:
mini sausages (uncooked)
fishfingers
peas
carrots
a few oven chips
corn on the cobs
half a portion of stewing beef (uncooked)
cupboards:
approx 6 biggish potatoes
onion & garlic
lettuce
1 tin of chopped toms
1 tin beans
2 tins soup
half loaf of bread
pasta
rice- plain and a few of those savoury rice packets
i also have lots of bread flour and yeast
and ive got a few bits like stock cubes/herbs/spices/flour/butter
ive got 2 pints of milk but i need to really save this for the babys bottle and bedtime milk for my 3 year old
can it be done? i need any advise pleaseeeeeee

Do you have any cheese or eggs? Tomato puree? I've got a few ideas, but it depends on the quantities of some of your list, and also if you have the items in my questions.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Blimey, that's quite a challenge you're facing.
OK... to start with - get breadmaking!
Not just loaves but rolls too. Mostly because by the looks of things you're going to need some padding.
The stewing beef... how about chopping it fine, make up a chilli using the toms and the (rinsed) baked beans... serve with lots of rice.
Fish finger butties? With a slice or two of lettuce and onion (if liked raw?) With peas and carrots?
Mini sausages... toad in the hole? perhaps served with the corn and oven chips? Esp the oven chips because they can be cooked at the same time as the toad in the hole. You might be able to sneak some bread rolls in there to cook at the same time.
Eek! This is tough!
Oops! No eggs mentioned, so toad is out...Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
