I am very lucky as I am being given my mum's old Kenwood Chef (very lucky since I've found out how much they are even second hand!) and was wondering what people find them good for?
I am planning to make bread in it initially, but am open to suggestions - she wants if back if I don't use it!

I'm not lucky enough to have a Chef, but bought a Prospero which is smaller but does similar. I use it for
- Bread dough, including dough for flat bread/tortillas
- Muffins of all sorts
- Making pastry
- Liquidiser for soup
- Cake making
- Yorkshire pudding/pancake/batter mix

Aside from the usual cakes, biscuits and bread...
Use the K beater to make mashed potato - after a potato ricer it's the second best thing for making lovely lump free mash
I also use it for making gnocchi.
If you have the liquidiser, use it to make milkshakes and smoothies, or crush ice to make slush puppy style drinks.
Use the whisk attachment to beat egg whites to make meringues or mousses. Or to whip cream to fill eclairs - use the K beater to beat the eggs into the pastry mixture which saves a lot of elbow grease.
Use the dough hook to make pasta dough.
Use the K beater to rub fat into flour for making pastry (and then just add the liquid while the machine is still running). Ditto for scones.
You'll find a hundred uses for it.0 -
I use mine to make:
- bread dough
- cake miaxture, including muffins
- sausages
- minced beef, faggots, rissoles
- pancake and other batters
