Using Parsley
Hi Does anybody have any recipes to use up big bunches of parsley? Was thinking something along the lines of Pasley Peso if such a thing exists and is remotely edible :) It's something that I have in the garden, and seems a waste to just let it go to seed. Thanks

Tesco breadmachine recipe
Hello, I have looked on other breadmachine threads, however Im still struggling with the recipe for a 900g loaf in my tesco bread machine. I have tried adjusted the quantities from the 700g loaf, however the 900g loaf has a "doughy" texture. My recipe is 1cup wholemeal flour, 3cups white flour, 1tbsp oil, 1 1/4tsp salt, 2…

Need to clean untreated pine TODAY without the aid of Stardrops please
Hi all, I have had a peek at most of the threads from here (via a selection of searches) as I have some pine chairs that really need to be cleaned before they are collected. They have grubby fingermarks along the back, but have been stored in garage and attic also so are really in need of a good scrub to get the grey…

HELP! Dye has run in wash - how to get it white again?
I washed my baby's nappies for the first time today and popped their storage bag in with them - not realising that the cord it ties with was green and the dye has run and made all my nappies and babygrows mint :( OK, so mint is not the worst colour in the world but I've just sobbed my heart out over them and really want…

Freezing chicken
Hi I bought 2 packs of chicken breasts that were on offer on Wednesday night. A combination of being ill and forgetting has meant that they weren't frozen until last night (I know, I'm stupid). I've frozen them now and have been looking for info on the internet. Do you think they'll be ok? Thanks Gwenx

Drying washing quickly to stop it smelling musty?
Hope this is in the right place, please feel free to move if it not! Recently our washing machine broke down, which is fine as we rent a fully furnished flat. Rang the landlord and he got us a new machine, which was great - apart from the fact that he brought us a washer to replace the washer-dryer we'd had previously! As…

The shabby, shabby thread
Yep this thread is dedicated to those of us who really don't mind what our furniture looks like, as long as our wardrobes hold our clothes and our table stays up when we eat... we never turn down a free item of furniture, and while we may think about painting it, its still the same in 5 years time... Skips are shopping…

Trying to make a meal out of what's in the cupboard - will it work?
Hi, I hope someone who is a little better at cooking than me can verify if this has potential before I waste some food. I am thinking of doing - lamb steaks marinated in mint rosemary and garlic and olive oil served with polenta, feta and mushrooms. I have never cooked polenta before, I thought I might try frying it in…

Sterilizing fluid question-Help please!
Could any one help and advise me? A couple of days ago my anti-bacterial kitchen spray (the clear stuff) ran out, and like a good little money-saver I refilled it with half a diluted own brand baby steralizing tablet I had left over from the baby years. Then I remembered that the box says discard after 24 hrs, so my…

How to clean a washing machine?
Hey, that rhymes. :) Anyways pulled the washer and fridge out today to clean behind/under *yuck* and am now looking at the washer. I've taken the drawer out which I'm soaking in Cillit Bang or whatever it is, but the inside of that is gross. What can I clean that with? Also inside the door trim is pretty rank, all mouldy…
