Hey, that rhymes. :)

Anyways pulled the washer and fridge out today to clean behind/under *yuck* and am now looking at the washer. I've taken the drawer out which I'm soaking in Cillit Bang or whatever it is, but the inside of that is gross. What can I clean that with? Also inside the door trim is pretty rank, all mouldy and stuff, whats the best way to clean that?

Obviously don't want to use Cillit Bang in the machine coz it might ruin my clothers! :undecided

Nice. :D

Run a hot wash with Vinegar. I usually take drawer our of washing machine get a brush and spray with anything that removes lime scale , and in where the drawer has come out .Then do your hot wash with vinegar . Floor i just use any cleaning stuff and scrub .Oh i put thick bleach down the outlet pipe cause that can smell as well. Amazes me how a drawer to a washing machine can get so dirty !

Just dirty up the rest of your floor and you won't notice that bit :)

Run the machine, empty, on it's hottest cycle and clean the rubber with hot, soapy water. That should do the trick :p

I've got cillit bang? Just worried that it will stay in the system and when I put my clothes in it will ruin them! :undecided

If I lived with someone I could have done a dummy run with theirs. :rotfl:

I've got balsamic vinegar? That any good? :undecided

Pink-winged has done a good reply but i use white vinegar . if you do the hot wash after you have used the likes of Cillit Bang it will get washed away with all the rinses but dont let Cillit Bang get on the enamel of the outer bit of the washing machine

For the drawer - I give it a good spray of wd40 and leave for an hour it makes it a lot easier to clean with hot soapy water.
I run my machine on the hottest wash with a good splurge of white vinegar once a month and it keeps it clean inside.
A friend of mine swears by soda crystals for her drawer so it really is trial and error to find what is best for you.
As for cillit bang I won't have it in the house because a lot of the ingredients are bannned in commercial cleaning
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I add washing soda to almost every load of wash I do but not for delicate items. I also leave the door ajar for a couple of hours after and that stops any nasty smells.

For smells cleaning the filter will often work - not one of my favourite jobs.

If doing a cleaning wash with soda crystals put them straight in the drum but not too much or it will foam like mad.
