kids leftovers?
Crusts of sandwiches with the odd bit of processed cheese in and leftover chips are pretty common round here, as are toast crusts with marmite on and I cant stand marmite. Is there anything I can do with them?

Can I get rid of the smell of soot? And general staleness?

Gooseberry Jam - how to seal the jars
I've just made my first 4 jars of gooseberry jam! :D (all from my allotment!!) I've put the jam into kilner jars and have cut out some greaseproof paper rounds and sat them on the top.
