cooking dinner soley from a microwave?

I've just moved into a house which me and my other half are currently renovating. At the moment our kitchen is in a state of disrepair and we do not currently have the gas connected so do not have a useable oven, our only cooking apparatus is a microwave. We do have a working fridge/ freezer so can store food. I'm getting really bored of ready meals so I want ideas of meals that can be made from scratch with just a microwave to use.
So far I have come up with jacket potatoes or fish with microwave steamed veg (my other half eats fish but does not eat meat). We do not have the money at the moment to buy counter top ovens or slow cookers. Any suggestions?

The uncle bens flavoured rice in a pouch can be done in microwave. Not sure about the risotto. Frozen spinich and corn on the cobs.
If you have a kettle then you can do cous cous?

Have you thought about buying/borrowing a camping stove?
You could also have a BBQ for a change.

you can cook pizzas from scratch in the microwave. Make a savoury scone type dough and put tomato sauce or puree over ,then tinned fish etc or veg and melt cheese on at the end of the cooking time.
    Omelets are easy too.
If you look in pound land, they have reusable nonstick parchment sheet that makes cooking in the microwave less messy.

Chicken cooks beautifully in the microwave, 10 mins per lb on medium in a roasting bag or covered dish. I once did a mince dish as per the instruction book and it was delish, but do not have that microwave or book now. Liver also cooks well in a tomatoey sauce.

All vegetables can be microwaved cooked, except that green beans don't come out so good.

Then a syrup sponge and custard to finish off and you'll eat like royalty.

no spare cash for a camping stove and I've just finished uni all my mates are students and the only camping they do is at a festival where there too drunk to find a tent let alone set up a camping stove, so no one I know has one! :P

I'd put a want ad on your local freecycle and see if you can get hold of a slow cooker, then you can cook what your heart desires!
