Hi there! This is the Daily Thread for Wednesday 24th June. This is an 'Over the garden fence' type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone is welcome, so please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have screens, or slow internet connections, so please DON'T post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly, but if not, it's not a problem.
Please do not start a new Daily Thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two Daily Threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new Daily Thread after they get up in the morning. Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start is just as good!
Good Morning,
Up early here to take my Dad to the hospital for his angioplasty. I didn't sleep very well & will be glad when it's all done now. Thank you very much for all the good wishes yesterday.
I have pegged out the load of washing that I did last night and another one is in the machine now. I'm going to make a spaghetti bolognese for tea soon, with added chopped mushrooms & grated carrots
I've also got to do some food shopping the fridge is looking decidedly bare although I have taken the chance to give it a good clean
Noahsmum Good luck this morning at the hospital. I found the article on autism from the paper yesterday here
Pen Pin Hope the new medication is doing the trick.
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday to MeanMarie Hope you have a good one!
Gentle hugs to anyone else who needs one at the moment. Have a good day everyone

Gorgeous here at the moment. Hope it stays like it.
Planted out my leeks yesterday and hopefully killed off the aphids killing my courgette (hope the fairy liq and water does the trick!).
Not much going on here today. Might walk to the local small library and have nose at what books they have. I like borrowing cook books and reading for inspiration!
SG - crossing my fingers that your dad's op goes smoothly and trouble free. Waiting is the worst hug
NPM - hope it goes well this morning. I don't have migraines but the very bad headaches I have had were enough to stop me in my tracks hug
Donny-gal - hope you can see Wimbledon via the web OK.

Morning everyone :hello:
Was too tired after working in the garden until late last night so didn't tidy up or make the lunches and decided to get up early this morning instead. Got up at 6, lunches done, and kitchen sorted. Have had my coffee in the garden and fed the birds.
Have put a load of bedding on to wash and want to get the throws done as it looks like another great drying day.
Will be going into the office again today as I want all the bills paid, invoices out and accounts up to date before the holidays so I can just concentrate on the girls. Off on holiday a week on Saturday so have a few bits to organise for that too.
Tea will be burgers and salad tonight and the strawberries we didn't pick yesterday.
Sunnygirl, thinking of you and hoping al goes well for your Dad. x
NPM, hope your appointment goes well. x
Happy Birthday Marie. I hope they spoil you rotten. :A
Happy Birthday also to Miss Pink. Hope you have a lovely day. xxxxxxxx

Its going to be a beautiful day today & I will be trapped in the office for most of it  had so many interuptions and telephone calls with problems yesterday I got virtually nothing done. Needless to say I will get some washing on the line today.....it never ends.
Think will be making lamb kebabs for dinner tonight - OH can use the barbeque. Ironing is building up but think will be too hot later. One treat today though have a hopi ear candle at 12 :j really need to get my finger out before then though.
Off now to get a start on, have a great day.

Washer on, lots to get out on the line today.
Going to get slowcooker on soon, we are having
beef stew tonight with pancakes underneath, yummy.

thats dessert sorted too.
Hope you all have a good day x0 -
Morning all
Nothing OS going on today apart from the towels that are hanging out on the line before I go to work. I have been reading though and wanted to pop on before work to wish Sunnygirl my good wishes and hope that your Dad's operation goes smoothly. Also to Noahspennilessmummy the same for her hospital visit today too. DH used to suffer badly with migraines, but luckily either by luck or judgement they seem to have eased off the older he gets and also by avoiding pork and not too much cheese which seemed to trigger them.
:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Meanmarie, have a lovely day
Hugs to all xxxx0 -
