Aussie - fab news about you coming over to this side of the world. As I didn't get to meet you last time, I'll try my best to get to see you this time!
Sorry I've been MIA too folks. Work is manic, even with SATs out of the way. We're due a "visit" by our Ofsted friends soon.
My mum finished her chemo last week and tonight phoned me to say that the oncologist has confirmed that she will be having radiotherapy. If it goes to plan and starts on time, then it'll be finished the day before her 60th birthday. If it doesn't start on time, then she'll be 60 and a few days when she's finished. As I said to her (in the nicest possible way!) "What happens, happens." Anyway, she's a farmers' wife so what a silly time to have a birthday in mid-August when harvest is in full flow. :rotfl:
I've managed to get myself a job for 4 weeks over the summer holidays, which will mean that I'll have to live away from DH for that period of time. We'll still see each other at weekends, but I'll get to top up our house savings fund.
Anyway, I've got a freezer full of yellow sticker stuff and a spreadsheet/meal plan waiting to be filled. Better crack on and do it before I go to bed.
Take care all
