At work at the moment (quick break for lunch) has been really busy here at the moment due to staff holidays and the need for cover. Feel really tired today though as couldn't sleep for the heat last night even though I had the fan on in the bedroom. So can't wait to get home. No idea what to do for tea though. My lot never seem to want to eat properly when it is so warm and muggy.

((((Hugs)))) to all who need or want them. Enjoy the rest of your day!

    Afternoon all.

Right, first things first - Happy Birthday MeanMarie and Miss Pink.

Good Luck and Best Wishes to SunnyGirl's Dad and NoahsPennilessMummy.

Well, the highlight of my day has been..... wait for it.... *fanfare* WASHING!! Lots and lots of it. Including two items that have to be done separately, by hand, in cold water. One of which had cherry stains on. (Can you tell I'm bored out of my tiny skull?)

Luckily I can get away without ironing most of it - and Mr LW does his own ironing;).

I've been tidying up all my saved emails (ie deleting 90% of them - things I saved ages ago "just in case I ever need to refer to them"). Changing from Microsoft Outlook to Mozilla Thunderbird has galvanized me into action on this - not before time, either. There were hundreds of the darned things! I have promised myself I won't save every little thing from now on. We'll see how that goes....

My new compost bin arrived yesterday. Mr LW has put it right at the back of the garden, so guess who's going to be sent to put the spud peelings on it when it's raining?...

Hope everyone's having a good day, and a more interesting one than I'm having.:D

    Hi all

Have done all the washing and ironing, what a hot day, seen a bit of Wimbledon and tidied up.

Had toast with Marmite for brekkie
Lunch was the last of the leftovers from BBQ on Saturday
Tea tonight is Lamb and date casserole - OH birthday tea

Wondering if I can put together a pud with what I have in the house - probably not!

Wonderful news Aussie Lass on your bargain tickets - be great for you to come over to the UK

Happy birthday Mean Marie and Miss Pink

Lav1979 I hope their baubles fall off there tree for what they did to you - for 78p or £78 they should not take what is not theirs and the damage they cause!

Hugs to all who need them.

    Good Afternoon

Tiredmum - hope you DD has a lovely time after all the efffort

Sistercass - My DD's spots cleared up almost immediately with antibiotics so she was lucky. My Doc told me everyone has a cure, its just finding the right one.

Haribo - think fate was trying to tell you something

    :jHappy Birthday Miss Pink:j

Have had a terrible day today. Had a phonecall from a member of staff of our clients which was completely out of order - I phoned the manager and told him have also just emailed a letter of complaint. Trouble is it's so hard being a contractor in this situation. This member of staff has made trouble for us before. Oh well, we will just have to see what happens now.

Have spent all morning on that and suddenly its gone 5 o clock :rotfl:think will give up today and start afresh tomorrow. Also didnt make it to my Hope Ear Candle appointment:mad:

Didnt even get any washing done .

    Roll on Thursday.

I'm another one who's often MIA but I try to get on here when I can.
Congratulations & commiserations to all those in need.
Everyone at work is green with envy, I seem to have the only cool room in the place, my aircon is going full pelt on warm days like today, it was 28 in my room by 7:30, AC brought it down to 21.
We had £3000 of criminal damage done to the school in one lunch break by 6 boys. Their parents have each been given a bill for their share, I wonder how many will pay up.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Hi all :) I'm back from my secret weekend away - OH took me to Ireland and it was lovely - wonderful weather, great landscape :)

I've come back to the biggest pile of marking I've ever seen though - with really tight deadlines :( They've changed the syllabus quite considerably this year too, so it's slow.

My flat looks awful, but the marking is priority over the next 3 weeks so it will have to stay that way.

LW - I'm trying not to think about washing - OH did two loads of washing last week and wreaked over half of my clothes - one load with a bright green sock and the other with the auto-drying function. I'm not sure how much I can salvage :(
Aussielass - well done on your holiday booking :)

We can't visit tonight but have passed our love down the phone to him. Thank you for all of your very kind wishes :A

Miss Pink :bdaycake: Happy Birthday - Hope it's been a good one.

I'm shattered now so I'll have a quick look around on the board and then an early bath & bed I think xxx
