Low energy light bulbs
Thought this sort of fitted into the OS board Went to Morrisons yesterday and their phillips low energy bulbs are only 39p so I bought a couple:D Only question is I bought the 100w for the living room but it took at least 5 mins before the room was bright enough to be able to read a book, is this normal?

does Baking powder have any other uses?
I know you can use bicarb for cleaning but can you use baking powder for anything other than cooking? Ive got a tub here thats about 2 months past its use by date and if I can use it for anything else that would be fab otherwise its destined for the bin Thanks

I need a cheap Boys school leavers ball kit

Kim & Aggie style cleaning - Chandaliers??
I love chandaliers, however cleaning them is another matter!! Has anyone any tips on how to clean them? Think I could do with Kim and Aggie coming round(!), (no, they're not as bad as that,) but do get very dusty so thereby losing their shine and therefore their attractiveness. Fresh Pasta - Drying it
I have now mastered the art of making fresh pasta and rolling it in my Kitchen Aid pasta machine. :j I cut it by hand into tagliattelle using a pizza cutter and dust it well with flour to stop it all sticking together. Does anyone know where to get a sock hanger?
It is circular and holds socks on little pegs. They use them for drying socks on the line or airing cupboard. I have seen them in people's houses when viewing but haven't been able to find them in the shops. Does anyone know where to get one?, they look really good.
