I need a cheap Boys school leavers ball kit

Options
I am too tight to hire a Tuxedo and trousers at £60 for a few hours ball.
Although I recognise that it's a special occasion.

How can I get away with paying less? Anyone want to loan me a 36 inch chest Tux? Any cheap companies out there? E-bay is sadly lacking... 2 weeks to go and I am stumped.

Help welcome...

Try ringing around a few local charity shops...they may have one to buy or rent them out. Our local Dove House Hospice loans tuxedos and suits out at £20 for one week. Not cheap, but better than full rental cost.

    Good luck x

Our local mens outfitters sells second hand (ex hire) for £70. You can choose to mix and match styles of trousers and jackets. Whilst not a cheaper option, at least you would own it then rather than the money having gone on rental.

However I agree about the charity shops - for example one round here does a wedding dept - maybe some of the shops round you might do the same.

Thanks. I went to all the charity shops in a city near us. They are hopeless for menswear. Nothing at all. I hired one in Moss Bros in the end £30 special deal for students. Seemed best to bite the bullet and just do it.
