I am too tight to hire a Tuxedo and trousers at £60 for a few hours ball.
Although I recognise that it's a special occasion.
How can I get away with paying less? Anyone want to loan me a 36 inch chest Tux? Any cheap companies out there? E-bay is sadly lacking... 2 weeks to go and I am stumped.
Help welcome...

Try ringing around a few local charity shops...they may have one to buy or rent them out. Our local Dove House Hospice loans tuxedos and suits out at £20 for one week. Not cheap, but better than full rental cost.

Our local mens outfitters sells second hand (ex hire) for £70. You can choose to mix and match styles of trousers and jackets. Whilst not a cheaper option, at least you would own it then rather than the money having gone on rental.
However I agree about the charity shops - for example one round here does a wedding dept - maybe some of the shops round you might do the same.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Thanks. I went to all the charity shops in a city near us. They are hopeless for menswear. Nothing at all. I hired one in Moss Bros in the end £30 special deal for students. Seemed best to bite the bullet and just do it.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0
