Hi
I had some bought for me and it was about £6 a jar... from a health food shop.0 -
I get mine (Rowse) from tesco, about £6 per jar, price depends on active strength & also whether organic or not. hth0

Tesco sell it. It's £6.99 for a 340g jar.

I'm pretty sure it comes in different strengths. The stronger the honey the more expensive it is.0

Hi Fizzel
That's a great price. Is that for external application like an ointment/lotion? I've sent you a pm too.
Thanks0 -
Yes there are different types and strength of honey. Their is active and normal. You should only buy active. Manuka honey is well known for its antibacterial and natural anti-biotic properties. Traditionally it has been taken for stomach, throat and skin ailments and factor 18+ and 20+ are suitable for external use, applying them directly onto the wound.
There are various strengths of Manuka from 5+ - 20+ and which one you should choose depends on what it is being used for. The lower the number (the UMF = Unique Manuka Factor, ie, the activity level) the lower the activity or strength. Lower strengths are suitable for general well being and as a preventative, while the higher numbers are suitable for remedial use. Manuka can be expensive, but it is true that you get what you pay for with this product. Hope that helps a bit so you know what you are looking for .0 -
