Shrinking a jumper?
Hi, today I bought a jumper and as I was in a hurry I didn't try it on. It looked ok on the hanger as it must of been quite wide, but now I've checked the inside label it's an XXXL instead of a large (I'm a small anyway but I like baggy jumpers). Anyway I've tried it on and it goes down to my knees! And whilst it makes me…

Maybe this one should be on 'Green and Ethical'! I've just realised that the heat my fridge-freezer pumps out at the back as a by-product of the refrigeration process is going to waste, more or less. I'd like to make use of it although, as I imagine is the case with most people's appliances, mine is very difficult to…

Deep clean, how do you do it and what with?
Hello everyone, I've seen a couple of people mention doing a 'deep clean' over the past few days over the English half term break - what is this please? I keep (fairly :o ) up-to-date with my cleaning - and can only assume a deep clean is just taking a bit more time to do usual jobs and adding extras like cleaning out…

Goats fleeces: does anybody know where...
...we can send around 10 goats fleeces? They are lovely wool - Kashmir/Angora cross! What we'd like to do, ideally, is send them away and have them "turned into" wool for knitting etc. Does anybody know of any companies that do this sort of thing? Tx bm

Nasty shortbread
Whilst away in South Wales last weekend I picked up a pack of shortbread fingers for us to munch in the car on the way home. They were nasty (not "compatible" with my OS palate perhaps?) & we didn't eat them. Grim as they were I'm loath to throw them away, so any ideas? I'm thinking crumbed/buttered for a cheese cake base,…
