  • I think that the thing you need to do is make sure that you dry the seals well when you have cleaned them. Try using some white vinegar and water and then when all the mould has gone, use a hairdryer to really get the seal dry, particularly in the crease. It will still come back eventually, but should take much longer.

Or a steam cleaning machine or bicarb of soda on a toothbrush.

  • Thanks everyone, off to try the toothpaste then the vingar. Will take my hairdryer down with me.
  • Wow, the toothpaste worked really well, feel much better about the freezer now, was thinking it might have to buy a new one.

Milton should work - it is a bleach, but if it's safe with baby-bottle teats, it should be safe on fridges.
  • How do you remove the mould marks left on the seals of a fridge freezer.
A friend was moving and didn't have room to take the fridge freezer from her garage, so she 'freecycled' to me.

Got it home gave it a freshen up as it was clean anyway but for the mould on the door seals. Any OS ways to deal with this problem.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi there...

I have just had the same problem with my fridge ..it had been in transit for 2 months..... i used a bit of toothpaste...its slightly abrasive, i used a bit on a damp cloth and it got rid of all mine..plus it smells nice too:D ...just make sure that you rinse it all off as if its left on it can corrode the rubber bits...hope it works for you too:D
