Christmas Tree Treats
We are going to put the christmas tree up this weekend. I have been looking at the cost of the chocolates that the kids love but they are very expensive. In the past I have bought funsize chocolates and put ribbon on those but wondered what else people who are moneysaving put on their tree as treats?

freezing fresh garlic
Hi use fresh Garlic reguarly and always use a mini chopper to chop it up. I was thinking of choping up a whole batch and putting it into icecube trays and freezing it to saving getting out the mini chopper each time. Anyboby know if this will work or any better ideas. :confused: Thanks in advance

Smelly frozen onions
I noticed value onions in Tesco had dropped in price (88p to 49p) so I bought 3 bags (6 kilo's) and chopped them up to freeze. Today I opened the freezer lid and :eek: :eek: :eek: . My kitchen stank of onions for 2 hours. Does anyone know if the smell will go away? Or have any tips? Regards X

I want to make lots of rolls up to bung in the freezer for over Christmas, I know you can buy part baked rolls and would rather freeze mine part baked so they taste fresh on the day......but does it work on HM rolls? Anyone tried it at all??

Recipe for Australian Celebration cake
I would like to make this instead of traditional Christmas cake. I tasted some in Oz and it is full of soft fruit etc like prunes, pineapple, pears, nuts etc.and it was really delicious as it was very moist and not as heavy as traditional Christmas cake.
