I would like to make this instead of traditional Christmas cake. I tasted some in Oz and it is full of soft fruit etc like prunes, pineapple, pears, nuts etc.and it was really delicious as it was very moist and not as heavy as traditional Christmas cake. Does anyone have a tried and tested recipe please?

Not tried it though, but it could be a nice project for the week end!"There is something about the presence of a cat...that seems to take the bite out of being alone.” Louis Camuti0 -
How embarrassing
I don't think I've ever tried one.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

You never know, someone might post "I have so many frogs at my place - does anybody have a recipe for frogs legs":D and you can hop in (pardon the pun) and tell us how it's done. :rotfl:Must keep an eye out for the cake though, already keeping an eye out for the eggnog someone else says is really yummy in OZ.
I must live a very sheltered life.
