Feeling ripped off by car dealer
On 16th February this year I paid £8,495 for a Land Rover Discovery 3, unfortunately with cash borrowed from a good friend, with a supposedly full 12 months warranty. I explained to the garage that I wanted a car I could have complete confidence in and that would not keep breaking down on me. They assured me this car was…

gladstones
I received a PCN for allegedly parking without a permit on a private road back in Feb 2013 - which I dispute as the recently erected sinage was actually on waste ground on the other side of the road! At that time I followed the advice on this site and did not engage with senders JD Parking and subsequently Debt Recovery…

Tyre recommendations please
Hi all, I have a budget of around £50 per tyre and having done research on different websites it seems there are quite a range available for my tyre size. The tyres are 175 65R14 82T. I've seen Pirelli's, Michelin's, Goodyears, Avon etc. all within this price range but really don't know what would be a bargain or not or…

Petrol lawnmower help, please?
I know this should possibly go in the gardening section, but as it's concerning a petrol lawnmower I'm hoping someone here may be able to help. I bought a new petrol lawnmower about 5 years ago because my old one was showing signs of packing up so I stashed it in the shed and continued using the old one until it died.…

Question regarding van warranty
Bought a Renault van 2 months ago from a Renault dealer. It was 6 months old. I have noticed the sliding side door doesn't seem to close flush. There is a slight protrusion in panels when shut. I have booked in for a recall on another matter and asked them to have a look at the door whilst in. I am asked to pay £90 upfront…

Problem with paintwork on used car
I bought a used car Hyundai i10 2013 plate from a dealer and took it to my local Hyundai garage who checked the service history, carried out a visual check and confirmed the manufacturers warranty is intact for another 2 years. Lease, HP, PCP ..?
Hi all, My wife and I got our first car in Jan 2014, after leaving university. We took a Hire Purchase on a VW Polo, but actually never really intended on owning the vehicle. We're now looking at Qashqais; Nissan want ~£3-350 a month for the sort of model we want, but again, we have no intention of ever wanting to keep the…

Hello boys and girls, This is my first post. I am in need of an advice. I purchased a car from a dealer in Leicester in January 2016. I could not drive away with it as the dealer still had to run some checks on it. 4 days later, I picked up the car and noticed that the windscreen was cracked. This damage was not present…

Buying Brakes Online
So Eurocar parts seem to have a half decent offer on. This would be the first time i've purchased online rather then heading into the store. I've entered my registration in and now i am seeing results for just my car. However, why am i shown like 3 sets of brake pads? Reading the fitment details, the expensive ones are…
