Car insurance
My son is nearly 22 and about to purchase his first car. We know the insurance is going to sting but just wondered if anyone knows of the cheapest way to go about this. I already run my own car, would it be a good idea to register the new car in my name also with my son as an additional driver. Thank in advance

Vectra 'B' display screen gone off :-s
The display screen has just gone off. The screen is completely blank. As I have my own radio installed, it normally just shows the clock/temp reading and nothing else. All other lights/bulbs on the dash are working fine. Any ideas? Is this likely to be costly to fix? Could it just be a fuse? This damn car has cost me loads…

Mazda 5 Sat Nav DVD Search
I have just brought a 2nd hand Mazda 5 MPV with a inbuilt Sat Nav system. When I brought the car it did not have the Sat Nav DVD I am trying to find where/how I can get hold of the DVD on a 55 plate 2006 model. I have spoken to the dealership and they have quoted me £220 ex VAT which I think is far to expensive for a…

Chain broken on moped
On my puch moped there are two chains - one that you pedal to start. This chain snapped and so I tried running with it to start it. Despite turning over it wouldn't start and so I am wondering if it's necessary for the chain to be fixed or is it likely to be some other problem?

Cambelt breaking 2 weeks after service.
I recently took my car for a service at the same garage I brought it at 4-5 months ago. 2 weeks after getting it serviced the cambelt snapped, which for those of you who know, can be quite an expensive repair. After looking back at the paperwork I was given following the service, there was no mention of the cambelt being…

Budget Car Insurance
Just thought I'd post a little warning. I took out a Budget Insurance policy in May 2009 and then added a second driver in July 2009 - for which an administration fee was charged, naturally. I've decided to sell the vehicle in question, however when I called up on May 22nd to advise them not to renew my policy they told me…
