You can delete fines. I've not had one for over 20 years.0

parking
cleaning (well some do...)
Tolls0 -
With every possible cost included and averaged down:
Budget between £70 and £100 a week for running the average car.
Budget between £100 and £150 a week if you buy a new one every 1 or 2 years (depreciation).
Budget between £120 and £200+ a week if you buy and drive a new "prestige" car every 1 or 2 years (depreciation).
Some cars can lose more than £30'000 a year in depreciation.....“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

£5200 a year? that include purchase price?0 -
Petrol = £150 a week (for diesel)
Servicing = Do it all myself
MOT = £30 a year
Insurance = £197 per year (fully comp, protected no claims, etc)
Road Tax = £205 per year
Repairs = Can't remember the last time something broke, it's old school basics
Fines! = Don't get them
Accessories (Sat Nav etc.) = One Sat nag at £400
Breakdown Cover = £118 a year (home start, recovery, roadside, etc)
Depreciation? = If you can find what we have on fleabay (or anywhere else), they seem to be going up in price.
Oil/Coolant/Wiper fluid etc. = Spending somewhere around £150 a year for the service consumables
I think the biggest single expense (when compared to other vehicles) is our tyres (BF Goodrich), they come out at £130 each but do last for 40,000 miles.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -

No, purchase price is not included, but depreciation of it's value is.... You'll eventually recover some of the purchase price but not all of it.
