Predictive text on Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G ?
Hi, I am looking for a low-spec phone. Two models I am looking at are the Nokia 215 4G and Nokia 225 4G. I cannot find on any seller site or even the Nokia site if these two models have predictive text (T9). Usually, if it isn't "said" then it isn't there... Could anyone confirm please if you know for sure that either…

Vodafone PAYG1 changes
Doesn't seem to have been mentioned here or is MSE news, but this excellent tariff for low/intermittant users is changing for the worse (much worse for some). Used to be 20p/min/text/5Mb, but capped at £1 a day for unlimited mins/texts and 500Mb of data. From Jan it'll be £1 as soon as you use send a text, make a call or…

Rollover mobile minutes help
I am trying to buy my elderly stepmother a mobile phone for emergency use. All current UK airtime providers appear to only offer rollover of minutes for a maximum of 60 days. I have spoken also to Virgin who used to offer a top up card with permanent rollover of minutes unused. They tell me they are phasing outThis system…

Android phones and Fitbit Versa 2
Hi Just wondering if anybody could help out with a recommendation on a £200-250 Android phone that they have successfully managed to get to work with a Fitbit Versa 2. Fitbit have a list of approved phones that are all at least 12 months old - none of the newer phones with the better screens/battery life. I had an absolute…

EE sansung 20 new phone - phone warranty - what are my rights
Hi - I upgraded my phone with EE (in the shop) to a Samsung 20 on 23rd October. Within a week I was having some issues of it randomly restarting or switching itself off. Would happen infrequently to start with, but then got worse. We obviously went into lockdown so I was unable to go back to the shop to discuss and it was…

Three - Dysfunctional Complaints System
Has anyone encountered problems with Three and their dysfunctional complaints system? I have had an apparently fraudulent direct debit set up on my bank account for a mobile phone contract. I have never been a Three customer and have never contacted Three at any time about setting up an account. I was naturally very…

Apple Upgrade Scheme
Has anyone been declined on the Apple Upgrade Scheme? Recently went to Apple store to upgrade and my application got declined as I didn’t meet their current lending criteria. I have currently held finance through their loan partner, Barclays Partner Finance for several years, I’ve been in the same job for 20 years and…

Fonehouse Deal Code
Tried using the MSE blagged deal code of MSEI232 for the iPhone 12 deal with Fonehouse on an EE contract. Code doesn’t work on checkout to reduce upfront cost down to £199. Anyone else having same issue? Is there a typo in the code. Says it doesn’t expire til end of December on MSE website.

Coverage Indicators
Hi, were about to change our mobile provider, but what confidence can we have in the coverage indicators? My wife is with Plusnet/EE, and while their website indicates we live in a good signal area, data is fine, but a voice call is very dodgy. We don’t want to go through the hassle of changing but finding the service is…

Do Emoji Cost
I’ve just got my new iPhone XR up and running but I’m confused about Emoji at the bottom of the keypad. If I am sending one in a text does that count as a picture message or a text message? Is there a difference between sending them to other iPhone users and Android users? My service provider is Tesco and they use O2. I…

BT mobile discount removed
I've had a BT SIM only deal for years at £10 a month which includes a £5 reduction for being a BT broadband user. We left BT broadband years ago and the discount stayed. On my latest bill it has gone, no explanation, and it's now costing £15. There are better offers, even at a tenner, but it was good while it lasted.

Mobile tech advice needed
I have a pixel 4a 5g mobile which has a known fault. The top speaker has a crackling sound issue. Google claim it is a software issue which will be sorted in the next software update. I know I could return it but would rather keep it and find a workaround until the fix arrives. Is there an app that will allow me to only…

Question about memory on Samsung S10+
Hi there, I have a slightly dumb question, but hope someone can help anyway. I am about to buy a Samsung Galaxy S10+ and I use an SD card in my current phone. It has all my photos on it and has a capacity of 128GB. The S10+ comes in 128 or 512 GB memory versions. I was tempted by the 512, but then saw somewhere that there…

Carphone Warehouse renege on trade-in offer.
It seems I'm not the only one recently to have fallen for the Carphone Warehouse mobile phone trade-in offers (with bonuses) only for their trade-in "engineers" to spuriously claim that on inspection the traded-in device has "screen burn", and that as a result they would only offer me a tiny fraction of the original offer.…

Samsung/Amazon cashback deals advice pls
if you use the deal for the A51 it brings it down to £195 and if through a cashback site there's an extra 2.5% off so overall £190. It seems a good deal but is it a decent phone? Reviews seem variable but I don't need a phone for more than messages, banking, music and photos and I've never paid more than £100 for a phone…

Vodafone woes and alternatives?
HiI am having a terrible experience with Vodafone customer support compounded by different answers from different advisers, ending with my long term PM account being disconnected and reconnected with an accompanying £10-41p charge! Carphone Warehouse cancelled my order after credit check and payment
I ordered a Samsung S20 refurbished from mobiles.co.uk with a Vodafone contract prior to black Friday, and on their website it said it was in stock. I am currently with Vodafone anyway (you cant port numbers on the same network) , and they could not match the offer that mobiles.co.uk could do, so I got my PAC code to do a…
