Carphone Warehouse renege on trade-in offer.

It seems I'm not the only one recently to have fallen for the Carphone Warehouse mobile phone trade-in offers (with bonuses) only for their trade-in "engineers" to spuriously claim that on inspection the traded-in device has "screen burn", and that as a result they would only offer me a tiny fraction of the original offer. Just £5 !!!
Worse, their default position is that if you don't respond within 10 days, they will process this as accepted, yet any attempt to reply to their email results in the message boucing back from their servers!
I now note by looking at the recent reviews on TrustPilot, this "screen burn" claim and dreadful revised offer is a common theme. See: Carphone Warehouse Reviews | Read Customer Service Reviews of www.carphonewarehouse.com (trustpilot.com)
Has anyone else on here suffered similar, as I would be more than happy to chip in for some Group Litigation against these scumbags.
Update: Looks like there's on average one complaint a day on TrustPilot about this scam. Why didn't I check first! 🙄

1100 Stores and one complaint a day...??? Sounds like a tiny percentage. There have been complaints about various sellers and screen burn on OLED phones for several years now.Often then have no issues reselling them with screen burn and not mentioning it at resale time.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Hi rickwookie.I’ve got screenshots from almost 500 people about them sending in good working phones to be quoted peanuts for them. It happened to me too - using the screen burn excuse to justify it. I even asked them to show me evidence that this was the case, but guess what? No reply.
I’m in touch with another person from twitter who this happened to and would like to contact you about taking things further if you wish.1 -

Not sure what your last point is, other than to counter why CPW would be justified in offering such a tiny percentage of the original offer for a device they claim has screen burn.0
