Apple Upgrade Scheme

Has anyone been declined on the Apple Upgrade Scheme? Recently went to Apple store to upgrade and my application got declined as I didn’t meet their current lending criteria. I have currently held finance through their loan partner,  Barclays Partner Finance for several years, I’ve been in the same job for 20 years and lived at the same address for 26 years and am financially secure with a credit score of 999! Has anyone else experienced similar?

"Credit score of 999" means nothing, that's just a human friendly picture of your situation for a specific credit agency.
There may be any number of reasons why you've been declined, bearing in mind a lot of people's finances are squeezed at this time and providers may tend to err on the side of caution.
