Car Insurance Admin Fee
I've just been a good boy and called my car insurance company to tell them of my first ever 3 points on the driving licence. They thanked me for the information and then informed me that there was a £14.50 admin fee to note the details on my policy! My debate with them went along the lines of "I'm notifying you because you…

Save 27% off your Car Insurance
How? Switch from TPFT to Comprehensive. Yes, that is what I mean! The world's gone crackers: TPFT: £203.39 Comp: £147.93 When I queried it, they said that they're paying out more on TPFT policies than Comp because TPFT is what all the boy racers go for when they're trying to run a car on the cheap. When you put it like…

Accident claim
I'll try and keep this short. My car was written off in a no-fault accident on 16 September 2006. There's been lengthy delay on the part of the 3rd party insurers (Royal and Sun Alliance) in spite of the third party admitting responsibility even before we got out of our respective cars! In December I negotiated…

Car insurance successes stories
What's this about? The Cheap Car Insurance System is all about getting the best deal. But for fun, here's a contest to see who across the UK has the ultimate deal. As I write this, the cheapest is £48. So I thought it'd be interesting to see who else sheared down their car insurance that way. Did you manage it for under…

Car insurance without a driver?
Is it possible? I'm thinking of buying with my wife as owner [but she doesn't drive] so that I can drive it with my own "3rd party cover on other vehicle" cover. I think there is no law to prevent a person from buying a car [even if s/he doesn't know driving] - so there should be a provision for similar insurance as well.
