Best solution for slatted wooden bed with new mattress
We have a pine bed frame with rigid wooden slats. I have a new mattress coming and have been told that slats shorten the life of a mattress. As we can't yet afford a base is this true of wooden slats or just a myth ? If it is true, what is the best compromise for this ? Thanks
