When can I plaster new mortar?
Hey everyone, After the render had blown on my internal kitchen wall, I decided to repair a few patches. I suppose my question is relatively straightforward, how long does it take before I am able to apply a coat of plaster. Is a little moisture in the render ok or should I wait until everything is absolutely bone dry? I…

Hole in Brick Wall
Hi Today I noticed a hole on my exterior brick wall - as per here: https://twitter.com/payrollexcel/status/503631050296545280/photo/1 It is right at the bottom of the wall. I think this part of the wall is lined up to a part of the path that has slightly uphill and water and rain does not move and creates a pool. So I…

insulating a void in loft area
I have a chalet bungalow (built in 1991 )but I would like to increase the insulation under the voids . The problem is they where floored when the house was built. Wardrobe Rail
I want to replace a wardrobe rail but most of those that I can find in DIY shops are a bit too long. I don't have a hacksaw or vice to hold the rail and it would be pointless to buy them for that one thing. Is there anywhere that you can buy them cut to size or somewhere that I could get one cut for me?
