Fridge freezer - freezer keeps defrosting

Hi
we have a John Lewis integrated fridge freezer which is about 6 years old. For the past few years (since the guarantee ran out) the freezer part has taken to randomly defrosting itself so that all the food stored in it defrosts :mad:
Does anybody know what may be causing it and whether it is easily repaired?
