We are having our bathroom done and have chosen our tiles and boarder, we are having them 1/2 way up the wall and then painting the rest and and ceiling. Question is what colour do we do the walls, ceiling and woodwork.... So many things to think of!!!!

It's a large bathroom with one small window and a sloping roof one side.
Any budding interior designers able to help...

Ceiling and woodwork - white.
Walls - Dulux Almond White or similar brown based off white. Gives you a very neutral room so you can have any coloured towels and accessories you feel like.
Then when you want a different look, just change the towels and accessories.
The above is what I would do, but then I always change colours round with the seasons - stops me getting bored.0 -
I would go with the white.0

Dulux mellow mocha or soft stone are nice.
Get testers and paint on spare lining paper, then pin on the wall, see how the natural light affects the colours.
Depends if u want to stay with completely natural tones, or zing it up with colour .0 -
I would agree with jellie, white ceiling and similar toned paint to give a feeling of space. Almond white would be a good choice. The tiles in our existing bathroom are very similar to the ones you gave shown. We went for Dulux natural hessian which was an almost exact match. It has a warmth to the beige and comes in a matt bathroom paint. Although available light does affect how paint looks on your particular walls, I would say from experience that Dulux soft stone is too grey to work with those particular tiles and mellow mocha has a yellow tone - my house has a lot of off white/ beige tones! I -agree tester pots and a roll of lining paper to paint a decent size sample to hang on the different walls would be sensible.0

My tiles are the same colour as yours, i used to have the woodwork in a pale sage green, but now its white - easier to change the towels etc rather than the paintwork. I'm keeping it white from now on!!0

I would match with the lightest tile on the far right.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Thanks everyone, we were really undecided if to pick a colour from the boarder or to pick a brighter colour I think we have decided to zing it up a bit and go with white ceilings and then mint macaroon (dulux) walls.... Well that's the idea, we bought the paint as on offer but can return it. We have got a couple of testers (willow tree was another one I liked) and the lining paper Idea was great am going to try that tomorrow. It's so hard to picture it!!Recently married and loving it x0

Hello
I like your tiles.....I, personally would pick out one of the lighter colours in your mozaic tiles and try to match the colour for your walls......
Whatever you decide I hope it looks really lovely.
Sorry - just seen your last post......the green sounds lovely actually......i have never thought of doing something like that but as i think about it i think it will look great.....good luck - the great thing about emulsion is that you can always change it....0 -
I have never known a soft dove grey to clash or override any decor.
My missus convinced me of this as being known as "Mr Magnolia" for over 39 years.
She was correct:o:oI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
