insulating a void in loft area

I have a chalet bungalow (built in 1991 )but I would like to increase the insulation under the voids .
The problem is they where floored when the house was built.
Do I need to lift the floors or can I lay rock wool over it .
The voids are not the easiest to access and lifting the floors is not really an option .

Depends on if the voids are ventilated with outside air. If so then not much point insulating. If not then it will be just as effective.0

there are vents and I have put rock wool around them but what I really wanted is to keep the heat downstairs ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -
Once you start blocking vents you need to be aware of causing damp and condensation.0
