Pull switch for shower won't turn off
The power pull switch for the shower is stuck in the on position. No amount of pulling will turn it off. Although the actual shower is switched off, is it dangerous or anything to leave the pull switch on, or do I need to get someone out to it? TIA.

Unpleasant smell from washing machine
Hi all. We've had our washing machine for around 5 years now, and lately I've noticed a pretty unpleasant smell, and on one occasion brown stains on our clothing. I've run a couple of empty washes, with a splash of bleach in the drum which cleared it, but the smell returned after a couple of washes. Checked the filter and…

What do you call a 6 inch bolt?
Silly question, I want some long bolts for sticking through a concrete post and a wooden garden fence, but can't find any on ebay - which is remarkable. These bolts need to be about 6 inches long (not 6 inches wide!) So I'm guessing that I'm searching for the wrong thing. Any ideas what search I should do?
