In the process of getting a new kitchen. Been to several places and all the quotes vary in price for similar design.
Really need advice on experiences with Wickes (glenco white gloss) and an independent company I went to quoted me on Sheraton and Omega Kitchens. I understand that Sheraton are assembled units and Omega are flat pack. Are they good. I have never heard of them.
Magnet were so expensive so I will give them a miss.
Advice much needed. Thank you

Did you look at Ikea kitchens? Two friend rave about theirs and they do look nice. Not sure if they are decent quality though

Too far to travel nearest Ikea is about 1 1/2 hours away from me.0

out of what you have listed the sheraton would have the better carcass construction.
I wouldnt personally look at ikea unless your on a very very very tight budget.
look to see if the sheraton is a foil or vinyl door0 -

Have you looked at Magnet Trade? Prices much more reasonable. If you have a fitter, you can order through them. i have had a quote from Wickes but the installation/fitting work is expensive.0 -
If your budget's going to stretch to Sheraton, have a look at German kitchens. You'll get a better product with much more choice for similar money. We’ve had to remove your signature. Really don't fancy going through trade because warranties are in the builders name not yours. Been there before when I had a problem with a bathroom and it was difficult to get the problem rectified as my name wasn't on the warranty! Im on a budget of about £ 5K including worktops. Im having a knockthrough done as well. Not too fussed about having wireworks. Just want a "sound" white gloss kitchen with a peninsula. Room size approx 4m x 2 m0

Regarding trade kitchen from Magnet we were offered trade price when we rejected the kitchen because of cost. Have to say that despite negative postings about Magnet i have been delighted with mine.
We bought the kitchen through Magnet at trade price, got our own recommended fitter to fit it and bought the worktop from an independent worktop company.
Can't believe I am saying this but the whole thing worked brilliantly well - no missing bits - everything arrived on time and in working order.
Had agonised over Magnet because of negative comments but i fell in love with one of their kitchens and couldn't find anything else I liked.
If you do like Magnet keep on at them about the price - you may be pleasantly surprised by how much you can get knocked off if you persist.0 -

I'd be interested to know which Magnet Trade kitchen you chose/fell in love with. I have just had a quote for the Hamilton one. Have you bought any of their Whirlpool appliances or found appliances elsewhere?0 -
Out of interest, why?
I suspect it is a question of what one defines as a very very very tight budget. I have not looked at IKEA but think the cost would be pretty similar to the quotes I have had. i have no intention of stretching myself beyond my reasonable means and beyond what is suitable for my current modest (but still lovely!) terraced house.0
