Managed to chip the cooker top(where the hobs are), anyone reccommend a solution to put it right. Not sure if the top is enamel or something else. Its a neff oven if it helps and its about 10 years old.

If its white paint it's likely to be enamelled. You can buy enamel touch up paint from DIY stores.

Alternatively to do a high quality job you can get some one like 'paint medic' who will repair it like it was new. But the difference in cost is probably £100!

Yes its a white top, had a look on google and there was something on amazon thats an enamel repair paint.

Does it have to be a special paint eg specifically for cookers ?

I dont want to use just enamel paint and it doesn't do the job.

Thanks. Ill try and get a picture up if i can

I once dropped a heavy pan on a white hob, which resulted in a chip in the enamel. I did buy some specialist spray paint, intended to touch up damage to enamel appliances such as ovens, hobs, washing machines etc.

You might be able to get some in a local hardware store or place such as Wilkinsons. I think there is also one you can paint on, but spray does leave a better finish.

However, I found it wasn't a perfect match, so the damage stood out as a completely different white. Still, better than the black colour the damage had caused.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
