Homebase 10% off days -gone for good?
Homebase recently dropped its Spend and Save loyalty scheme in favour of Nectar -a bit of a shame really as it was quite a good one as loyalty schemes go, but more worryingly, they seem to have abandoned the regular 10% off everything days. Anyone out there have any news about this?

However it all needs painting again. What is the best way to remove the paint from the front of the window sill, if I need to at all?

A quick gas/plumbing question ...
Hi My brother needs a new gas hob and has seen one second hand - it says it is suitable for "natural gas/methane". Please excuse complete dimness(!) but does this mean it's okay for use with the standard mains gas - is this what is known as "natural gas"? It also has an attachment (some screws) for adapting it to be used…

Scaffold boards as decking
I want to build a deck but being an awkward one I don't want to use the grooved/smooth decking boards you can buy everywhere. I was thinking of using scaffold boards - bigger, chunkier and just that bit different. Has anyone else used these boards for this purpose and if so do I just treat them with a wood stain as I would…

Plumber advice needed re new boiler please
Hi, We have had our offer accepted on a house which currently has a system boiler installed. It doesn't look very old, it's a Glow worm 18sxi if that helps.
